At iCan Teach UK we have a dedicated compliance team who are responsible for ensuring that all of our candidates are fully vetted and compliant in line with our safer recruitment and safeguarding policies.

Compliance for Day2Day & Long Term Assignments

For all assignments where Dunbar Education acts as the employment business(1), we will carry out the below checks:

• Candidate Interview/Registration
• Verified 5 Year Career History
• Enhanced DBS Certificate through Dunbar Education or on Update Service
• Overseas Police Checks
• Identity checks
• Prohibition and sanction checks
• Referencing
• Proof of address check
• Change of name check
• Qualification check
• Right to Work check
• Medical fitness to work check

(1) An employment business provides staff who are not employed by the hirer but who are seconded or supplied to a client employer

Compliance for Direct Placements

For all direct placements where Dunbar Education acts as the employment agency(2), we will carry out the below checks:

• Overseas Police Checks
• Identity checks
• Prohibition and sanction checks
• Referencing
• Qualification check
• Right to Work check

(2) An employment agency is one that provides staff who are then employed by the client employer.
