About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Biology Teacher to join our vibrant and high-achieving school in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring students to explore the wonders of biology and fostering a love for science. You will play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons to students aged 11-18, including at GCSE and A-level.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality biology lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Inspire students to achieve their full potential through engaging teaching methods.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
Contribute to the development of the science department and curriculum planning.
Participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, field trips, or competitions.
Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning for all students.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a relevant degree in biology or a related field.
Possess a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for biology.
Have experience teaching at secondary school level, including GCSE and A-level.
Show a commitment to creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
Be an effective communicator with strong organizational skills.
