About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary History Teacher to join our vibrant and high-achieving team in Hertfordshire from September 2025. The successful candidate will be passionate about History, committed to fostering a love of learning, and have the ability to engage and inspire students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality History lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons to ensure students are challenged and supported to reach their potential.
Create an inspiring and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and engagement.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and collaboration with colleagues.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism, both in teaching and in relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Key Requirements:
A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
A strong passion for History and the ability to communicate this to students.
Experience teaching History at secondary level (Key Stage 3, 4, and 5), or a strong desire to develop in this area.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
