Job Title: Secondary Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated MFL Teacher to join our dynamic languages department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in Spanish and French across Key Stages 3 to 5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Spanish and French to students aged 11-18.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing targeted support where necessary.

  • Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events related to the MFL department.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Degree in Spanish, French, or a related field.

  • Proven experience teaching Spanish and French at secondary level, including A-Level.

  • Strong knowledge of the MFL curriculum and assessment requirements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.
