Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the possibility of teaching at A-Level for the right candidate).

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.

  • Foster a love of science through innovative and interactive teaching methods.

  • Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

  • Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and science enrichment programs.

  • Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be willing to work towards it.

  • Have a degree in a relevant Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).

  • Be an excellent communicator and role model for students.

  • Demonstrate a passion for teaching and a commitment to raising standards.

  • Have experience teaching science in a secondary school setting (or be an ECT looking to start your career in a supportive environment).

  • Be enthusiastic about continuous professional development and willing to engage in training opportunities.
