About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the possibility of teaching at A-Level for the right candidate).
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
Foster a love of science through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and science enrichment programs.
Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be willing to work towards it.
Have a degree in a relevant Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
Be an excellent communicator and role model for students.
Demonstrate a passion for teaching and a commitment to raising standards.
Have experience teaching science in a secondary school setting (or be an ECT looking to start your career in a supportive environment).
Be enthusiastic about continuous professional development and willing to engage in training opportunities.
