About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Secondary Chemistry Teacher to join a thriving school in Berkshire. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator who can inspire and engage students, fostering a love for Chemistry while ensuring excellent academic outcomes. This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their careers in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5 students.

  • Foster a stimulating and engaging learning environment that supports student progress.

  • Assess and monitor student development, providing feedback to enhance learning outcomes.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the curriculum.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience.

  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Chemistry or a related field.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level (preferred, but not essential for ECTs).

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and the wider school community.
