Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Computer Science teacher to deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a crucial role in developing students’ problem-solving, coding, and computational thinking skills, helping them build a strong foundation for further study or careers in the tech industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in Computer Science that are engaging and relevant.

  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.

  • Foster a love for technology and innovation in students, encouraging creativity and critical thinking.

  • Promote high standards of behaviour and academic achievement within the classroom.

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the Computer Science curriculum.

  • Support students in their personal development and well-being.

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to support whole-school initiatives and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • To be confident in teaching Coding

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related subject (or equivalent experience).

  • A passion for teaching and inspiring young people in the field of technology.

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 and 4 Computer Science curriculum.

  • Experience in teaching coding, algorithms, and problem-solving.

  • Ability to motivate, engage, and inspire students.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching A-level Computer Science (or a desire to develop in this area).

  • Familiarity with current technological trends and their application in education.

  • Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities related to technology or coding clubs.
