Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Computer Science teacher to deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a crucial role in developing students’ problem-solving, coding, and computational thinking skills, helping them build a strong foundation for further study or careers in the tech industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in Computer Science that are engaging and relevant.
Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
Foster a love for technology and innovation in students, encouraging creativity and critical thinking.
Promote high standards of behaviour and academic achievement within the classroom.
Contribute to the development and improvement of the Computer Science curriculum.
Support students in their personal development and well-being.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to support whole-school initiatives and improvement.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
To be confident in teaching Coding
A degree in Computer Science or a related subject (or equivalent experience).
A passion for teaching and inspiring young people in the field of technology.
Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 and 4 Computer Science curriculum.
Experience in teaching coding, algorithms, and problem-solving.
Ability to motivate, engage, and inspire students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
Desirable:
Experience teaching A-level Computer Science (or a desire to develop in this area).
Familiarity with current technological trends and their application in education.
Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities related to technology or coding clubs.
