Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate Social Sciences teacher to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality lessons in subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, and Politics, and will inspire students to achieve their best while fostering an appreciation of the social sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lessons in Social Sciences to students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
Develop and implement effective lesson plans, assessments, and activities tailored to diverse learning needs.
Support and mentor students, providing academic guidance and pastoral care.
Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and independent learning within the classroom.
Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events as needed.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and teaching practices.
Ensure students’ progress is regularly tracked and communicated with parents.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Sociology, Psychology, Politics, or a related field).
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven experience teaching Social Sciences at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 (desirable but not essential).
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
A passion for Social Sciences and the ability to inspire students to appreciate the subject.
