About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology & Textiles Teacher to join our dynamic Design & Technology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, fostering a passion for food technology and textiles, and supporting students in developing practical and theoretical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Food Technology and Textiles across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Inspire and challenge students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and learning.
Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour.
Assess, monitor, and provide feedback to students, ensuring progress and achievement.
Support the department in curriculum development and extracurricular activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in practical lessons.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Food Technology, Textiles, or a related subject.
Experience teaching Food Technology and Textiles at secondary level is desirable.
A passion for the subject and a commitment to inspiring young learners.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team.
A proactive and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
